Jean-François Jacouton - Condrieu
One of the most prestigious appellations in the Northern Rhône Valley. A Condrieu with complexity and structure!
The property
In 2010, Jean-François Jacouton created his cellar after having gained experience in different regions and his apprenticeship with one of the great winegrowers of the northern Côtes du Rhône such as "Le Domaine Courbis". Help in these beginnings by Maurice Courbis for the purchase of vines and Joël Durand for the vinification. He will first recover the vines of his grandfather André who is a few kilometers from Tournon. Then now, he works 6 hectares of vines without weed killer on several appellations, the main one being Saint Joseph. Since the creation of the estate, its philosophy has been to produce more sustainably and in a reasoned way.
The vineyard

Made from a selection of Viognier from the Condrieu appellation. The vines are planted on a plateau above the Rhône with granite soil.

100% Viognier - AOP Condrieu
Vinification and aging
Harvested by hand, 100% whole harvest, aging on fine lees and in barrels for 10 months.
Tasting
The robe
Beautiful brilliant dress of golden yellow color.
The nose
A complex bouquet with notes of white fruits such as vine peach and a floral touch of violet.
The taste
An ample, balanced and velvety wine that coats the palate. We find the notes of white fruits which bring roundness and amplitude in the mouth.
The Sommelier's little extra
